It is hereby notified, with reference to Notification No. S. 314 of the 24th October, 1919, that information has been received from the Consul-General for the Netherlands-India to the effect that the declaration of Hongkong as an infected port on account of plague has been rescinded by his Government.

　　　No. 1.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. STANLEY HUDSON DODWELL, provisionally and subject to His Majesty's pleasure, to be an Unofficial Member of the Legislative Council, vice the Honourable Mr. ROBERT GORDON SHEWAN, retired, with effect from the 1st January, 1920.

No. 2. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint a Committee to consider and report upon the question of making provision for the protection of life and property in the harbour during typhoon weather.
