No. 393. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to recognise Mr. ScHELTO SWART as Vice-Consul for Sweden at Hongkong.

No. 394.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under instructions received from the Secretary of State for the Colonies, to appoint FRANCIS ARTHUR HAZELAND to be First Police Magistrate and JOHN ROSKRUGE Wood to be Second Police Magistrate, with -effect from the 21st March, 1909.

No. 395.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under instructions received from the Secretary of State for the Colonies, to appoint JOSEPH HORSFORD KEMP to act as Registrar, Supreme Court, and Registrar of Companies, &c., EDWARD DUDLEY CORSCADEN WOLFE to act as Head of the Sanitary Department, and ROBERT ÖLIPHANT HUTCHISON to act as Assistant Registrar General, with effect from the 30th instant.

No. 396.—His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under instructions received from the Secretary of State for the Colonies, to direct that the title of "Inspector of Schools" be abolished and replaced by that of “Director of Education ".
