To fill the vacancy for
Assistant
Auditor in Hong Kong which has been caused by the transfer of Mr: R.F.Brayn to the service of Nyasaland, as from 8th June, I recommend the selection of Mr: George Cormack, at the present time one of the Assistant Auditors serving in the Gold Coast Colony, and who, I have ascertained, would be willing to accept this appointment at the rate of salary authorised viz:- £420 by £40 triennially to £540.
Mr: Cormack has completed only one tour of service, as an Assistant Auditor in the Gold Coast but having regard to his previous audit experience in the War Office, extend- ing over a period of 11 years, and exceptional qualifica- tions I regard him as specially well suited to fill the vacancy in Hong Kong.
He is due to arrive in England from the Gold Coast on or about the 16th June and will then be entitled to two months leave of absence. He would therefore be available
to leave for Hong Kong about the middle of August.
