No. 676.—It is hereby notified that HENRY ERNEST YORKE HAGGARD has vacated his appointment as Assistant Engineer in the Public Works Department. 26th October, 1909. No. 677-With reference to Government Notification No. 648 of the 15th instant, His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint the Honourable Mr. WILLIAM REES DAVIES, K.C., to act as Chief Justice during the absence on leave of His Honour Sir FRANCIS TAYLOR PIGGOTT, Kt., or until further notice, with effect from this date. 27th October, 1909. No. 680.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under instructions from the Secretary of State for the Colonies, to appoint EDWARD SERGINT LINDSEY to be Manager of the Kowloon-Canton Railway, British Section, with effect from this date. 28th October, 1909. No. 681.-It is hereby notified that, consequent on the retirement on pension of ARATHOON SETH, I.S.O., His Excellen y the Governor has been pleased, under instructions from the Secretary of State for the Colonies, to appoint JOSEPH HORSFORD KEMP to be Registrar of the Supreme Court, Registrar of Companies, Official Administrator and Official Trustee, EDWARD DUDLEY CORSCADEN WOLFE to be Head of the Sanitary Department, and ROBERT OLIPHANT HUTCHISON to be First Assistant Registrar General and Deputy Registrar of Marriages, with effect from the 30th instant, 29th October, 1909.
